Final World Championship Badminton 2011: Lee Chong Wei VS Lin Dan

Hi all,

I just finish watching final match Badminton World Championship 2011 between Chong Wei (Malaysia) and Lin Dan (China). Well, both are world class player. It's really enjoyable watching the game. I've never experienced watching such a world class match like that. But anyway, my favorite, Chong Wei (LCW) lost again to Super Dan. The good thing is, he lost with dignity. Well, with  three set games and holding two times match points at the final set, Chong Wei had reached the same level with Super Dan. In my opinion, Chong has lack of mental control when holding match point if playing against Lin Dan (LD). It can be seen at the final set, where Chong Wei had two chances to finish the game and win the championship, but Lin Dan able to catch and level the point. When it come to Lin Dan, he don't have problem holding the final point at all. This is what I think, make Lee Chong Wei really different with Lin Dan. Super Dan have more courage and desire to win!!

At the end, the game was so high class and very enjoyable (except for LCW lost...) Looking at the performance in this championship, a simple equation can describe both LCW and LD:

"Anybody can win against LD except LCW and anyone can't win against LCW except LD..."

Anyway congratulations to Lin Dan (and Lee Chong Wei as well)!! Go Chong Wei go!!

Result:
Lee Chong Wei (Malaysia) vs Lin Dan (China) : 22 - 20, 14 - 21, 21 - 23
